You Broke Record at Annual Banquets

Your Generosity Will Help 2,000 More Orphans

boy with volunteer

Have you heard how much YOU raised at this year’s Color Their World banquets in September? Are you ready for this?

A record-breaking $375,000!

We shared there were 2,000 orphans on the waiting list for our programs, and you didn’t hesitate to respond.

It was your prayers and your giving that allowed us to visit 8,716 children in 2021. You provided these children with caring mentors, basic life skills, and even life-saving seminars like how to avoid human traffickers. You made it possible for orphans to be taught simple lessons you and I take for granted, including how to take care of themselves through proper hygiene.

DID YOU KNOW?

There are an estimated 153 MILLION ORPHANS WORLDWIDE

You made a way for them to have professional orientation days and learn about different possibilities for a successful future. You sent volunteers who taught them about kindness and volunteerism and a fact you know so well --- in order to be happy, you need to serve others. UNICEF estimates there are 153 million orphans worldwide. This staggering number is why there are always areas waiting for our programs – because the need is great.

And this is why YOUR support is so vital. You are fighting in the battle of the worldwide orphan crisis, and every child that is saved is another victory. Thank you for bringing joy to more children and always going above and beyond to help. We are overwhelmed with thankfulness for God’s provision through your willingness to give. We pray your holiday season is blessed just as you’ve blessed so many orphans!

Big Hearts, Big Impact

See How You Change Lives

chrisburgin Chris Burgin | Founder and CEO

You really knocked it out of the park with your support in 2021! When we hear of a need, we try to do what we can to supply that need, and you’re always there to answer the call. We are so thankful for your heart for orphans that makes such incredible growth possible. We want to make sure you know the specific ways you make a difference through your generosity. You help in so many ways that it’s hard to list them all at one time, so here are just a few of those areas and we’ll share more in our next newsletter.

$2,500

Care for Children with Disabilities

$2,500 a month sponsors a large orphanage of about 200+ orphans with disabilities

Children with Disabilities
These precious boys received photos of themselves taken during an Allies trip to Russia in 2019 which included a visit to this orphanage. Your support ensures these children receive proper care.

$1,000

Sponsor an Orphanage

$1,000 a month sponsors an orphanage with 80-100 orphans.

Angel Tree
In Krasnodar, Sonya cried tears of joy when she received her Angel Tree gifts in 2020. She is raised by a single mom who so appreciated the hat and gloves that arrived just in time. Thank you for showing love to single moms and their children!

$100

Angel Tree Gifts

$100 provides gifts for three children.

$25

Saving Children from Human Trafficking

$25 a month gives orphans mentors that teach them life skills and friends that will walk through life with them. Allies also holds seminars during volunteer visits to teach orphans about the tactics used by human traffickers to lure victims.

Human Trafficking
An Allies volunteer discovered this girl with autism who was living in deplorable conditions and was a victim of human trafficking. You gave her a safe place to live and the necessary emotional support to heal from her past and have hope for the future.

THANK YOU for your support in each of these areas. As you know, there are more children waiting for your help and I need to ask you this question:

HOW IS GOD CALLING YOU TO INCREASE YOUR POSITIVE IMPACT ON CHILDREN IN 2022?

P.S. We will put your dollars to work immediately to help orphans. Thank you again, we can’t do this without you!

On the Road Again

Allies Staff Members Travel to Peru

Heather Heather Dunnaville | Staff Writer

The pandemic put world travel on hold since early 2020, but staff members Carla Fink and Glenda Beckwith were finally able to make an Allies trip to Peru in October. Your support made it possible for Allies to expand its reach to South America. These ladies went to see firsthand how your generosity has made a difference and to share how Allies programs could benefit orphans there.

Boy in orphanage
A boy in an orphanage in Cusco, Peru smiles for the camera. A main focus of the trip was to meet with orphanage directors and discuss how the Allies Mentoring Program could be implemented in Peru.

There are several orphanages in the Cusco, Peru area with children who’ve been abandoned, neglected, or abused by family members. The orphanages provide love, care, and education, but there is still a need for emotional support. Through an organization called Youth with a Purpose, Carla and Glenda were able to meet with orphanage directors to discuss how the Allies Mentoring Program (AMP) could meet that need. As you know, connecting orphans with volunteer mentors is nearly always life-changing.

The ladies delivered much appreciated hygiene kits from the Allies warehouse in Texas to a ministry called The Lost Children of Peru.

They also saw the results of a partnership with The Lost Children of Peru, a ministry that serves those in poverty. Carla and Glenda saw houses you helped build and delivered hygiene products to their ministry centers there. Can you imagine such smiles from teenagers receiving shampoo and toothpaste as gifts? Thank you for sharing your love with children and teenagers in Peru!

How would you like to travel with us and share your gifts and your hearts with these children?

We’re planning a trip to Peru next fall and would love to have you join us. Contact Carla at carla@alliesyouth.org to learn more about a trip with Allies.

Thank You from Maykop

We love sharing with you the end result of your support. It’s always exciting to receive photos and videos from overseas after the boxes shipped from Texas arrive at their destinations. This thank you came to us from what many know as “Vera’s House” in Maykop, Russia. The Ivaniko family has adopted and fostered many children for over 15 years. They are an amazing example of showing love to orphans through adoption, and they appreciate Allies donors and volunteers showing them some love.

Thank You

Thank you to those who donate the in-kind donations, the volunteers that pack the boxes, and our supporters who cover the cost of shipping. It’s a team effort and we’re so grateful to each and every one of you for your part in the process!
